About

About ME??? Well, I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, and if you aren’t familiar with it I’ll just tell you that that is where “valley girls” are made! Sweet little pig-tailed girls that grow up to have too many tattoos, and care more about the condition of their skin than if a Hollywood star is sitting next to them in a restaurant. Me included! I would rather know if you’re related to an awesome dermatologist than if Ryan Gosling is your cousin. Although, if Ryan Gosling IS your cousin don’t invite me to your next holiday party. It’ll get awkward!

I have three awesome kids that regularly make me question my own sanity and morals. A teenage daughter, a prepubescent son, and a two year (who, by the way, will rule the world one day! Seriously. Don’t cross my two year old or she’ll cut you.) All kidding aside, these kids are the best thing that has ever happened in my life, and I wouldn’t be the same woman today if they hadn’t chosen me to be their mama.

I’ve been in a relationship for quite a long time, and really don’t care to get married. I’ve done that before and I’m not very good at it. Why fix what’s not broken! So, don’t ask, “When are you two gonna tie the knot?” because I’ll just change the topic to Ryan Gosling or maybe glycolic acid peels. Ohhhh, or maybe those $20 per hour massage joints? Those places are the best thing since sliced bread! Speaking of bread, have you tried that rye bread from… See? I’m fairly good at deflection. He’s an incredibly talented tattooer and artist. A wonderful father and has a patience with me that is almost godly.

I have an amazing and very interesting family and circle of friends. Very colorful and different, each and every one of ’em. They’re beautiful people, insane on the weekends, so incredibly smart (don’t judge a book by it’s cover, right?), and love ferociously. I have a pretty good knack of accepting people the way they come, and thankful for that trait or I would be missing out on some good people.

Now for the part that makes it seem as if I’m writing an ad for a dating site: I love reading, writing, history, and museums. Spending time with my children. Golden retrievers and tattoos. I love the beach, and because I’m in Los Angeles I can go whenever I want. I love the elderly! Love, love, love them! Want to learn something? Talk to your elders! Karma’s a bitch, so mind your manners.

Thank you for reading! I’m going to write as if I’m checking out the place for the first time myself, so I hope you enjoy this roller coaster!

xo, jam
